The Nassau County Young Democrats are dedicated to fostering an environment where young people can experience political empowerment.
In addition to supporting the Democratic Party at the federal, state, and local levels and helping to elect Democratic candidates, we do several types of activities.
Some of these include a free personal and professional development workshop, free social activities, volunteering in our communities, and events and meetings where participants can expand their network and have their voices heard on pressing matters.
Moreover, to reduce the cost of events for attendees year-round, we fundraise for and hold an annual BBQ every summer which is free for Young Democrats.

Join Us and Make Your Voice Heard
Millennials, aged 18 to 35, are approximately 31% of the voting-eligible electorate, yet only 45% of us voted in 2016 and 2012 and only around 20% vote in the mid-term elections.
We are still one of the most under-represented groups of people because of historically low turnout among adults in our age bracket.
Millennials need a strong voice and with your help, it will be louder. Every voice and every vote counts. That’s why we need you to stand up and join us.
Become part of the blue wave of young Democrats that are getting involved in the political and governmental process to create a better future for our communities and our world.
